Pool Screen Repair

Florida sun is hard on pool cage screen. Over a few years it fades, turns brittle and starts to sag, and then one storm finishes it off. We repair everything from a single torn panel to a whole enclosure, with screen that lasts.

Why pool screens fail

The biggest factor is the sun. It breaks down the screen's coating until the mesh is discolored and brittle. The second is weather: hurricanes and strong winds throw branches and debris into the cage. Pets do their share too.

Damage from a storm is often a simple repair. But if the screen was already old when it was damaged, it may be time to consider a full pool enclosure rescreen.

Repair or rescreen?

Ask yourself when the cage was last fully rescreened. If it's been five or six years or more, a full rescreen is usually the better investment. If it's newer, there's a good chance you only need the damaged panels replaced.

One exception: if the last installer used cheap screen or left it loose and wavy, replacing the whole thing can make sense even on a younger cage. We'll help you decide over the phone.

Panels over the pool

We'll always ask whether a damaged panel is a wall panel or over the pool. Overhead panels cost a little more because they can't be reached from one ladder: we set up a catwalk between two ladders to work safely above the water.

Quality you can see

A tight, even screen with no ripples is the sign of careful work. Ours are cut and splined panel by panel, never rolled across the cage and trimmed. If you're comparing companies, compare the screen they use and how their finished work looks, not just the price.
